Tidak terasa sudah hampir 5 tahun serius dalam bisnis online dan barusan cek email support dari Google Adsense menyarankan agar mengubah ke ads yang lebih besar agar mendapat penghasilan yang lebih tinggi juga.
Memang dari dulu sampai dengan sekarang ads yang biasanya paling sering di-klik adalah ukuran Large Rectangle (336×280) dan mereka juga menyarankan Wide Skyscraper (160×600) yang biasanya dipasang di sidebar. Berikut email singkat mereka yang tidak smua saya copy ;)
Wider Adsense formats are more successful for several reasons:
1. Advertisers looking to target your site prefer wider formats, because there are more rich media (flash, video and gadget) as well as image ads available in these sizes. Put simply, advertisers placement targeting your site are often interested in branding and visibility, and
therefore they opt for larger, more visible ad formats.
2. Changing to a wider ad format generally increases the number of ads competing to appear in the unit, which usually results in higher CPMs.
3. The wider formats allow for more horizontal text, which is easier for users to read and therefore more likely to be noticed and clicked on.
Bagi yang belum mengubah ke wide format, silahkan mencobanya selama beberapa minggu dan lihat perbedaannya :) Ada juga video yang menarik tentang hal ini.
