In the middle of November 2007, Google examine their Adsense to the value users, advertisers and publishers derive from clicks on content ads. They improve and begin change new Adsense format to reduce accidental clicks.

In the past, user can click on background or full text of the ads, but now the ads can click only in the Title or in the URL of the ads. I thought it will reduce accidental click by user and also by you when maintenance the website.
the new clickable area format is better align with the text ad formats. The new ads format not only benefit the user experience but also the advertiser. By reducing the accidental click it will make advertiser increase their campain value and it can facilitating higher monetization for all publisher (I hope so..).
